HunderWasser art

 

For art we had to create our own HunderWasser art. First we had to draw some of the main things and then we had to sketch out the design we wanted. After that we copied our design onto the good piece of the paper and coloured in with pastels. We weren't allowed to draw straight lines and it had to all be different colours. Whats the weather in Maori

 

For Maori this morning we made a weather slide, so we filmed ourselves asking what the weather is in Maori and then Sienna replied with an answer. I found this task fun to do because I was doing it with my friend, this task was quite easy for me as we just got to make videos. What weather do you like the most? tell me in the comments below. My Pepeha 2021

Yesterday we started to make our pepeha and today we needed to finish it and post it on our blog! I found this task fun because I got to find out about my moutain, my river and where my ancestors came from. Whats your mountain? tell me in the comments below. Wainui camp 2021

Today we decided to create a slide on our favourite memory at Wainui camp 2021.

I did mine on kayaking because I found it fun as I did it with my friends, we got to go in our own individual kayaks and we went round two heads and looked at the caves. We learnt alot about world war 2 and how they would get their weapons if they ever got attacked. Next time I go kayaking if I do I would like to put less focus into getting eaten by a shark and more focus on kayaking. I enjoyed kayaking because I liked being in the ocean and drifting off in the water on my kayak. What was your favourite activity? tell me in the comments below.

My term 4 inquiry civilization

 

For inquiry this term we did something differnt, we had to figure out what would we do to live if we got dropped in a random civillization. Half way through building our worlds I was currently in the taiga, I hadnt been getting much done and hadnt really understood what to build in the taiga so I switched to the tropical islands. I chose to switch to the tropical islands because i thought it would be more fun and a better civilization choice for me. I had almost finished my world in the matter of 3 days and I was now working on my slides, I had finished my slides and almost finished my world but it still seemed to look empty, so I decided to add more buldings and places throughout the next 3 weeks of inquiry. I made a slaughter house, villages, turtle house, parrot house, 3 main houses, police station and dungeon, llama pen, star gazing area and a second village. We had to find out the matirels we were able to use to be able to live in the biome we had selected, we had to figure out food, clothing, transport, housing, education, laws, currency, entertainment and protection. Childrens opinions should matter more

  Persuasive argument!

Children's opinions are much more important than you think, quite a lot of children's ideas and opinions can be used depending on where you are and the argument. Many children struggle when telling people about their opinions, for example if a child would like to explain their idea to an adult it would be so much easier for them to speak to you if adults and some people listened.

Children's opinions can be very important in many different situations, You could say that children don't know a lot of the complexities of many situations compared to adults. But children will always know what they like, dislike and hate. Children under the age of 18 have always had to show respect according to adults. Respect is always a good thing to have for people but what if someone is 23 or 30 whats makes them so important that they don't have to show respect to children's or anyone's opinions?

Kids find it difficult to explain and be able to articulate their feelings and beliefs. A Lot of children's ideas can be quite unreal and confusing but therefore adults should still listen to them. Different kids have different opinions and Every child will agree to disagree with alot of other children, some kids have pretty big ideas and pretty small ideas but they both still deserve the same amount of respect.

Children can be very argumentative in some situations whether they agree or disagree with your opinion. You can't judge a child's beliefs, depending on what their beliefs are. Letting a child explain their opinion to you will slowly improve their social skills because they will begin to become more confident in themselves while speaking. 

In conclusion, I think that children's opinions should be heard and listened to more, it's a waste of kids' strong opinions and great ideas. to not listen to them. I think these three reasons prove that children shouldnt be unheard, have I convinced you on this argument?

For writing we had to make a peice of writing for persuasive writing, this peice of work was quite a while ago because we did persuasive writing last term. I did make heaps more but out of them all this is my favourite one. This writing peice explains why I think childrens opinions should matter more than they should.
