Minecraft grocery store

 

For math today Mr. Shaw gave us a very interesting task, we had to create a creative shop to display our math question. I decided to do my very plain but have heaps of food inside, I included the prices along with the pictures of the food up on the wall. My question says that mike would like to purchase some bread along with a kg of cooked potatoes. I had Lucy M answer my math question, and overall I thought this task was very fun and enjoyable as I got to explore the different features of Minecraft and how I could build my shop. French animation tech task

 

On Wednesday we do tech so after we get back we get set a task to do, today we started learning some french and got the choice of doing animation or a video. I chose to do animation because I didn't want to go in partners and I thought it would be more fun. This experience was so great and I would love to learn more french in the future, I found this task so fun and interesting and I was happy to do it. My animation is two people speaking french to each other, for example, them asking each other where they come from one or their age. Before we went and made our animation/video we got taught how to pronounce and say some french sentences.  I'm so glad I got to learn more about this amazing language and thank you for visiting my blog! 

Managing water quality task

I chose this inquiry task because I thought it would be interesting because I got to research and find why Managing water quality is really important. I found that this task educated me and taught me about how we keep our water clean and safe to drink. The questions that I had to answer were where does it come from? what's in its local environment, and how is it treated?. These questions were from the 5th task on the Ocean Sustainability Matrix. I added a few pictures onto the slide also to make it more colorful and interesting to show my learning. Each slide has a description explaining the information given from the article it suggested to read which was called water quality. Microplastics

 

For inquiry, we had to get in a group of 4 and make a presentation on microplastics. We had to explain the meaning and definition of microplastics and how they affect our environment, and 3 solutions to stop microplastics from getting into our fish and ocean. Importance of Water

 

For inquiry this term we are learning about the importance of water and how our waterways work. This task was fun because it's important to learn about how our world works and how we can improve our current problems. I did this task with Daisy because we were able to go in pairs, the topics we chose were pollution, groundwater, and microplastic. We also thought we would add a glossary just because we thought it was necessary. These problems that we have in New Zealand are getting bigger and thought we would learn how to have an impact on helping save the world and all the animals that are getting affected by it too. Math baking

For math, on Tuesday we decided to bake to work on our measurement, I was in a group with Daisy, Neiva, Sienna, and lucy. We made rice Krispy treats but they didn't turn out well and looked really bad. We don't have the photo yet but we dipped them in melted chocolate and covered them in sprinkles but they went all over the tray instead of the treats. matariki maori new year art

 For art, we were assigned to complete a piece of Matariki art that showed all 7 stars along with its mountain and river. As soon as I sketched the design I wanted I went and drew it on a piece of foam. After I imprinted the design into my foam I colored it. I choose the colors black and purple because I thought that would look the best with my design. I drew mountains and a river below it, the reason why I drew this is because I liked the look of the mountains and how the river surrounded them below. The reason the image was inverted is that when you press it down onto the paper it would be the wrong was.
